Students in grades 4-8 are invited to participate in the GCCHS National Geographic Geography Bee. The winner of the Geo Bee will be able to take the test to qualify for the State Geo Bee. The winner of the State Bee will move on to the National Geo Bee in Washington D.C.

Our Geo Bee will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, 2:30 pm at Freeman Library.

We must have a minimum of 6 participants to participate.

While this is an official Nat Geo Bee, we hope that this is a fun, low pressure learning experience for our local homeschoolers. Anyone within the age range can enter!

GCCHS members do not have to pay a registration fee to participate in the Geo Bee. We ask that you send in a $20 deposit per family to secure a spot for your student(s). Please sign up and send deposit by December 31. You can mail a check payable to GCCHS to Amy Whitecotton, 4329 Egret Drive, Seabrook, TX 77586 or pay via PayPal to gcchs.events@gmail.com. We will refund your deposit at the Geo Bee.

The Geo Bee is open to all homeschoolers in our area. For those that are not members of GCCHS, we ask that you sign up on the calendar and pay a $10 fee for entry in the Geo Bee. (If more than one member of the family is participating, the fee will be $10 for the first participant and $5 for each additional participant.) Please make checks out to GCCHS. You can PayPal your fees to gcchs.events@gmail.com or mail it to Amy Whitecotton, 4329 Egret Drive, Seabrook, TX 77586.

If you have any questions, please email amywhitecotton@gmail.com.
