Hey, There!
Here is our backstory.

Greater Houston Area Home Educators (G-HAH) began in 1994 as a communications network for Houston homeschoolers.  While  serving as a major communications hub for all  facets of the homeschool community, G-HAH brought all groups together for events, communications and sharing of resouces while spending hundreds of hours helping new homeschoolers.

The Southeast Texas Home School Association was a non-profit, 501(c)(3), incorporated, Christian service organization established to minister to the home-schooling community in the greater Houston area. SETHSA was dedicated to the rights of parents to choose the type of education that is best for their children and to serving those choosing to pursue a home-based, parent-directed alternative since 1983.

In 2014, G-HAH merged with SETHSA. With this merger of communications and service arms, the Greater Houston area has a full functioning regional group to serve the diverse homeschool community. G-HAH ‘s mission is to enhance the home education experience for Houston families through events,  communications, and resource partnerships to meet the needs of homeschool groups as well as the new homeschool families
