Okay, real talk: Houston is huge. Homeschool community here is realbut it rarely shows up at your door with a casserole and a co-op flyer. Connection usually starts with one small yes: following a page, joining a group, peeking at a calendar, or messaging a mom who lives only fifteen minutes away (and somehow three toll roads).

If you’ve been wondering Where are the other families?, this post is your practical map. Greater Houston Area Home Educators (G-HAH) keeps regional conversation close through Facebook and g-hah.org. Texas Home Educators (THE) keeps a statewide events calendar you can filter so SE Texas doesn’t drown in listings from every corner of Texas. Use both. Neither replaces the other—and neither requires you to become the most social person on the Beltway this week.
